BRAID LINES
Braid line. Countless types, at all kinds of prices, are available online and from tackle stores across Australia. We sell 100% Dyneema braid, but because our prices are so low, new clients sometimes wonder whether there’s a quality issue. Here’s the facts on that.
The braid we offer is made in a large factory which manufactures for some of the world’s biggest tackle brands. We buy exactly the same product as used by those brands but we take it without the branding. So, if a big US or Japanese tackle company orders a million metres of 30-pound braid, we add an order of 20,000 metres to that production run. But because there’s no brand on the spool we don’t have to pay a premium or a distributor margin on the product. And because we are the actual importers, there’s no wholesaler or local distributor margin to be added. We offer the following breaking strains of braid, available ex-stock:
•30-pound
•50-pound
•80-pound yellow
•80-pound Colour Change
•200-pound, ideal for downriggers
•300-pound
Please note – our 80 pound colour change braid does not have a white mark at the point of the line where the colours change. We have found that when jigging, leatherjackets will strike at this white mark. Colour change braid with a white mark is fine for jigging elsewhere but in NSW waters, where leatherjackets are often thick, the white mark will attract bites from them.

we include a free line counter.
This is a fantastic new product with clips onto your rod and can be used to measure the length of line transferred to your reel. Braid is expensive and there’s nothing worse than having a half full spool and wondering whether there’s enough line left to top shot or fill your reel. With the line counter, you will always know how much line you’ve put on your reel, and how much is left on the spool.
